"Picky Eater" Reviews New Dove Chocolate Discoveries Products

Jolene Thym of the Oakland Tribune has written a short review of the new products available in our Spring/Summer catalog. The products mentioned include: Coconut Chocolate Chip Smoothie Mix, Petite Dessert Cups, White Chocolate and Mint filled Chocolate Baking Bits.

"BLENDER BLISS: Just to make sure you're completely surrounded in chocolate, I want to give you a rundown on the newest from Dove Chocolate Discoveries, which has just introduced some adorable dessert cups that are $28 for a box of 20 and a Coconut Chocolate Chip Smoothie Mix ($18) that is a serious rival to Starbucks' frozen drinks. They also introduced some great tasting white chocolate for the home pastry chef, and adorable, minty chocolate bits that are $10 for 16 ounces. They're shaped like mini-peanut butter cups and made with deep, dark chocolate. The only trick to these treats is that you have to find them through a representative because the company is structured like Pampered Chef, selling primarily through home parties."

Dove Chocolate Discoveries Business Concept Reviewed

I recently ran across a short article about DCD Chocolate Tasting Parties on the "Crunchy Marketing Nuggets" wordpress blog. The author Lisa Fritts has done an excellent job of summarizing the Dove Chocolate Discoveries concept into a few short paragraphs.

"...it’s all together interesting, different, yet logical to see an in-home party business centered around the sale of chocolates. Dove Discoveries program is much like a Pampered Chef or a Tupperware. You can choose to become a “Chocolatier” (sales rep) or host a party. And enjoy tasting - and buying - different chocolate based products right in your own home."

Lisa is an excellent writer and has lots of interesting postings about the world of business, advertising, marketing and consumers on her wordpress blog. Check her fine work out at http://www.crunchymarketingnuggets.wordpress.com/2009/02/17/wom-sweet.

Contact me by email at freechocolate@comcast.net for more information about making money as a DOVE Chocolate Discoveries Chocolatier....a great business model for anyone who is looking for a chance to improve their cash flow and earnings.

Type-2 Diabetes Study: Dove Dark Chocolate is Good for You, Too!

Below is an excerpt from an article in New Jersey's Asbury Park Press. Information about a study by Mars, Incorporated is included. Dove Chocolate Discoveries Chef Series Dark Chocolate is the most popular chocolate we sell at our Chocolate Tasting Parties. In March, Sugar Free Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate will be added to our catalog. The Sugar Free Dark Chocolate is a perfectly sized portion for anyone who is craving a taste of Chocolate.

From the article:

"Mars, Incorporated, conducted a two-part study on the effects of cocoa flavanol in adults with type-2 diabetes, said Whitney Williams, spokeswoman for Mars. The company found that drinking a cocoa flavanol-rich beverage, made with the company's cocoapro cocoa, can have a positive impact on blood vessel dysfunction in adults with type-2 diabetes, she said. The study was conducted on men and women between the ages of 50 and 80 years old with established and stably-treated type-2 diabetes, according to research provided by Mars.

"What research is showing us is that cocoa flavanol plays an interesting role in the body," said Emily Korns, communications manager and registered dietitian for Mars Health and Nutrition."It actually helps to improve blood vessel function. It helps the blood vessel walls expand and lets blood flow through more freely," Korns said.Cocoa flavanol has a lot of health benefits in terms of heart disease and high blood pressure, and even in diabetes, Korns said."So whenever you include cocoa flavanol in your diet, it can have an improvement in blood vessel functions," she said.

Dove uses a patented process called Cocoapro on its dark chocolate, Korns said. The company starts the process by choosing beans that initially have a high cocoa flavanol content, she added."We treat them (cocoa beans) very, very gently throughout the whole chocolate production process," she said. "We know the end product of our Dove dark chocolate retains those cocoa flavanols that are naturally occurring anyway.""
